Ah Haa is looking for submissions for our Annual Regional Exhibition.  This year, our show will be loosely themed: RAW.  The creative process is messy, painful, ecstatic and above all honest.  In the act of making, an artist can process and channel agony, frustration, inspiration and excitement along a cathartic course that leads to the finished artwork.  Some artworks bear no resemblance to the raw feelings used to create them, or present a polished, restrained echo of the emotions that bore them. In contrast, some artwork is raw - the fervor of creativity, the frustration, or even the basic materials used to make the works are evident.  This year, the Ah Haa School’s annual Regional Exhibition will celebrate the unrefined.  Titled: RAW, the juried exhibition champions rough and truthful artwork.  Regional artists located within 150 miles of Telluride are invited to submit works in all media: painting, ceramics, sculpture, printing, fiber, metals and other (excluding photography and video) that shows the raw process of creation.  Finished or unfinished, submitted works should embrace the root emotions, materials and intentions that inspired them.
