Roland is from the House of Striped Coat Jesters & is the main advisor to the King of all the Land.

As with all court Jesters the Court sees him only as a fool, but the nation benefits from all of his loving wit & gentle kindness, which guides & molds the king and therefore the laws that influence & rule over all.

While most members from the House of the Striped Coat come from a tradition of family lineage that serves and trains their whole lives, hoping to gain this honor; Roland is unique because he rose up like a phoenix from the streets with not just sheer grit & will, but also from a great joy of heart & wisdom gained from a life well lived.

He is not always popular with the other members of his House (they see him as an upstart street urchin) but he knows deep in his heart that his work in the world only brings good things to the world and so he sleeps soundly every night.
